He was married to Minnie C Short, born 18 Mar 1865, worked as a farmer, born in Delaware, son of Wingate and Pricilla Phillips Short. Mrs Minnie C Short of Ellendale was the information of his death. John Carey provided funeral services and he was buried November 14th.

On 11 Mar 1940, her brother Joshua T Collins (76y 4m 10d) died in Georgetown from angina pectoris. He was white, married to May Ellen Pettyjohn, worked as a merchant, and the son of Sharp Collins and Matilda Truitt. The informant of his death was his wife Mrs Mae Collins. He was buried at Union Cemetery in Georgetown.
In 1942, her brother-in-law Charles A Conaway (64) died in Delaware state.
On 1 June 1948, Viola Mae Jefferson (70) died in Georgetown. [11] [12] [13] She was buried at Union Cemetery in Georgetown. [14]
