Biography

William was the third son of Maurice Henry Collis and Sarah Marcella Lyster Jameson.^[1][2][3]

He became a solicitor and practiced in the Dublin firm of Collis & Ward.

William married Edith Lilla daughter of John Kellock Barton at St. Stephen Dublin on 10th August 1886.^[4] They had:

1. Maurice Stewart born 10th January 1889^[5]
2. Mary Edith born 9th February 1890^[6]
3. Dorothea Joyce Stewart born 18th February 1896^[7]
4. William Robert Fitzgerald and John Barton Stewart^[8] both born 16th February 1900^[9]

All five children are shown in the 1911 census.^[10]

William died at Kilmore in 1947,^[11] Edith died at Lower Leeson Street two years later aged 87.^[12]
