Euphame's father died shortly before 22 Jun 1249[1] placing her birth no later than Feb 1250. Her first marriage was before 1262 and this, too, puts her birth no later than 1250 as the minimum age for girls to marry was 12. Her second marriage was in 1286 and her son by that marriage possibly born in 1287 so that one recogniing that women rarely produce offspring after age 47, her birth was likely after 1240. A birth year of 1245, then, is a reasonable approximation.

I note the explanation for calculating the date of birth as a woman rarely gives birth after age 47. For the record there was a court case in the early 1900's which held that in Scots law there is a legal presumption that woman can not give birth after the age of 54 so surely there is a reverse presumption that they can up to that age
