Michael was born in Castleplunkett, Roscommon, Ireland on Jan 1, 1878. He was the son of Patrick Connaughton and Mary Gara.
He met and married Catherine Dufficy in the RC Church of Kilmurry, Castlerea, Roscommon, Ireland on Jan 26, 1918.
He was initially a Tailor (1901, 1911), like his father Patrick and is then listed as a farmer (1960).
Michael passed away in Castleplunket, Roscommon, Ireland on May 4, 1960, age 82 with his niece Elizabeth Cuttle present at his death.
Cause of Death : Heart failure ; senility probably.
