Biography

Muriel was born on 15 January 1895, in Queensland, Australia, to parents Frederick Coomber and Jane Smith ^[1].

She married William Haworth on 26 January 1916 in Queensland ^[2], and her first child, Winifred, was born six months later on 30 July.

In 1939 the family threw a party for their daughter Joan's 21st birthday ^[3].

They lived at Bellvue Terrace, St. Lucia, in July 1841, when their daughter Joan's engagement to David John Muir, secretary to the premier, was announced in The Courier Mail ^[4]. The following May, living in Bundaberg, they announced the wedding ^[5].

Muriel passed away 7 December 1990 in Queensland, Australia ^[6], and is interred at the Buderim Lawn Crematorium and Memorial Gardens ^[7].
