Jasper Newton Cooper was born on 26 Jul 1879 in Izard County, Arkansas, United States, son of Isaac Franklin Cooper and Sara Elizabeth Jane (Smith) Cooper.

Jasper (22) married Ethna Freeman (18) on 15 Dec 1901. Their son was Byrum Cooper.

Jasper died on 20 Feb 1920 in Melbourne, Izard County, Arkansas aged 40. He is buried in Combs Cemetery, Melbourne, Arkansas.

Research Notes

Izard Co. Cemeteries says, jasper Newton Cooper, s/o Issac Franklin and Sarah Elizabeth "Jane" Smith was b 27 jan 1868 d 24 Aug 1924; m 18 Aug 1889 to Latonia E. "Tony" Landers (dau of Harvey Baxter and Louisa Malissa Pattillo Landers) b 27 Jul 1872 d 30 Apr 1937. Both were buried in Wiseman Cemetery.
