He was the son of Robert Cope and Elizabeth Fownes.
He was educated by Dr M'Mullin of Dublin and entered Trinity College Dublin on 14 February 1736-37, aged 16. B.A. 1741. [1]
He was collated Prebendary of Loughgall (Armagh) on 28 February 1723-24. [D. Reg.] In 1740 he resigned and became Prebendary of Ballymore, being collated March 14th (D. Reg.) ; installed March 25th.
He died in 1757. [2]
