When Robert Harold Courtney was born on 17 October 1917^[2], in Lowe Township, Kay, Oklahoma, United States, his father, Charles Calvin Courtney, was 42 and his mother, Cora Ethel Graves, was 29^[3]. He married Zerelda Mae Bryant on 10 November 1943, in Kay, Oklahoma, United States^[4]. They were the parents of at least 1 son^[5]. He lived in Stillwater Township, Payne, Oklahoma, United States in 1950^[6]. He died on 7 May 2003, in Austin, Travis, Texas, United States^[2], at the age of 85, and was buried in Braman Cemetery, Braman, Kay, Oklahoma, United States^[7][5].

(05/09/2003) Robert Harold Courtney, age 85, of Austin, died Wednesday, May 7, 2003. Our husband, father, grandfather, brother, and Uncle Bob is now safe in the arms of his Lord. He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters. His survivors are his wife of 60 years, Zerelda (Zee) Courtney of Austin (deceased 2004); son and daughter-in-law, of Las Cruces, New Mexico; grandchildren; brother of Lake Dallas, Texas and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2003, at Marshall Ford Baptist Church, 5000 Marshall Ford Rd. with Pastor Kim Edlund officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Marshall Ford Baptist Church Youth Group, 5000 Marshall Ford Rd., Austin, Tx 78732.
