Morris was born in 1890 in London, England while his parents were on the way to the United States. He passed away in 1980.

He arrived under the name Morris Couston in the United States on 18 May 1891 in New York City. His family continued on to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he lived for the rest of his life.
