Kenneth D. Covey, Sr., 58, of Bloomfield, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2003 at University Hospital in Indianapolis. Born Dec. 16, 1944 in Bloomington, he was the son of Leroy and Maxine (Ruby) Covey. He was a former member of the Bloomington West Lions Club. Survivors include, his wife, Nancy (Roby) Covey of Bloomfield; three sons, Michael Covey of Bedford, Rick Covey of Owensburg, and Kenneth Covey Jr. of Silverville; two daughters, Angela Quillen of Bloomfield and Linda Hamilton of Bloomington; one step son, Joseph Cunningham Jr. of Bloomfield; step daughter, Jeannie Cain of Bloomington; three brothers, Rick Covey of Norman, Dave Covey of Hardin Ridge, and Rod Covey of Stanford; one sister, Joann East of Ellettsville; 10 grandchildren; eight step grandchildren; and his father and step mother, Leroy and Eva Covey. He was preceded in death by his mother, Maxine Covey; one brother, Tommy Covey; one sister, Kathy English; and his second wife, Mary Lou Covey. Funeral service will be at Day Funeral Home in Bloomington at 10 a.m. on Monday with Brother Bruce Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
