Biography

• Lucy was the daughter of Edward H. and Mary C. Cowdery. An obituary in Windsor and Richmond Gazette dated 28th January, 1953 reads:
• Mrs. Lucy Arnold.

With very deep regret we record the passing at the District Hospital on January 23 of one of Windsor's leading and sincerely respected personalities in Mrs. Lucy Arnold, at the age of 61 years. During her long residence in Windsor, Mrs. Arnold had earned a genuine affection for her kindliness to all; her unvarying cheerfulness, her fine character generally and her generosity at all times to any worthy cause which needed her help. Her untimely passing, after a brief illness, has been a sad blow to her host of devoted district friends who feel deeply for her husband, sons Geoffrey and Dennis, and daughter Margaret, in their loss. There was a large and representative attendance at the service at St. Matthew's Church of England, Windsor, on the following day, after which the funeral moved to the Northern Suburbs Crematorium.
