Nathaniel Cowdery was born August 18, 1661 in Reading, Massachusetts Bay Colony, the son of Nathaniel Cowdery and Mary Batchelder, his father's second wife.
He married Elizabeth Parker on November 17, 1685 in Reading, Massachusetts Bay Colony.
Note: Nathaniel's wife Elizabeth Parker should not be confused with his brother Samuel's wife Elizabeth whose birth name is uncertain. It has never been documented that Samuel was married to an Elizabeth Parker. In any event, Nathaniel and Samuel could not be married to the same woman so I have separated them out into two different people. Please do not merge Parker-21593 and Parker-11857.
Nathaniel passed away sometime in 1690 as a soldier in the Expedition to Canada. This is documented in his probate file with the following statement: " An inventory of ye estate vizt goods and chattells of Nathaniel Cowdery late of Redding who died intestate in ye Expedition to Canada in the year 1690." While the place of his death is not known, it was likely New York or Canada but is being shown on this profile as Canada and marked uncertain.
