- Fact: http://familysearch.org/v1/LifeSketch After their marriage, Thomas Calvin & Amelia moved to "Dixie" and helped settle the country. They stayed in St. George about three years, then left to make their home in Smithfield, Cache County, Utah. In Nov. 1876, the dreaded
diptheria took three of their children in the same week.
