Biography
John was born in 1764. He was the son of Marmaduke Cramer and Mary Taylor.
He assumed the additional surname of Roberts.
He was educated by Rev Dr Pack and entered Trinity College Dublin on 6 November 1780, aged 16. B.A. 1785. [1]
He assumed, by Royal licence, the additional surname and the arms of ROBERTS, 9 Oct. 1801, having married 2 January 1794, Martha Roberts, eldest daughter of Sir Thomas Roberts, Bart., of Glassenbury, Kent, England.

William Butler, of Thornton, co. Kildare, Col. Bengal Cavalry, b. 12 May, 1808 ; died. 28 July, 1870, married m 8 July 1844, Elizabeth Borrowes, daughter of Robert Borrowes, of Gilltown, co. Kildare.
Amy, married Roger Chambers Walker, Q.C., of Rathcarrick, co. Sligo in 1838.
