THOMAS SINGLETON, of Fort Singleton, co. Monaghan, and Auburn, co. Dublin, formerly Lieut. 16th Regt., D.L., and J.P. for co. Monaghan, of which was Sheriff in 1839, b. 1 March, 1807. Mr Singleton, whose patronymic was CRAWFORD, assumed the name of SINGLETON by royal licence, 26 Jan. 1843, on succeeding to the estates of his maternal grandfather, and d.s.p. 14 May, 1881.
