Margaret was born in Mount Pleasant Lake Alexandrina, South Australia during 1856. She is the daughter of William Milroy Crawford and Margaret Harkness. She passed away in North Adelaide, South Australia during 1938.

Margaret was born in Mount Pleasant Lake Alexandrina, South Australia on 14 July 1856 to William Milroy Crawford and Margaret Harkness.^[1] The following birth notice was published in the newspaper, The South Australian Register, on 18 July 1856:^[2]

On the 14th inst., at Mount Pleasant, Lake Alexandrina, Mrs. W. M. Crawford, of a daughter.

Margaret married George Joshua Macklin in Parkside, South Australia on 15 January 1880.^[3] The following marriage notice was published in the South Australian newspaper, The Express and Telegraph, on 27 January 1880:^[4]

MACKLIN—CRAWFORD.—On the 15th January, at Millbrook House, Parkside, by the Rev. H. Hussey, George J., youngest son of the late T. Macklin, to Margaret, fourth daughter of W. Milroy Crawford, Karcullaby Station, Streaky Bay.

Margaret died in North Adelaide, South Australia on 17 April 1938 at the age of 81 years.^[5] The following death notice was published in the South Australian newspaper, The Advertiser, on 18 April 1938:^[6]

MACKLIN - On the 17th of April, at 184 Barton terrace, North Adelaide, Margaret Crawford Macklin. Private interment.

Margaret was buried at the West Terrace cemetery in Adelaide, South Australia on 18 April 1938.^[7][8]
