Anne Bithiah Croal was born in 1869 in Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland. She was the fourth daughter of Thomas Croal and Sarah Smeeton. [1]
On the 1871 Census the family were recorded as living in the St George registration district, Midlothian: [2]
