He was a carpenter in the 1850 West Lackawannock township (modern Mercer county), Pennsylvania census. Neshannock Presbyterian Cemetery gravestone says age 47yrs 9mos 29dys. From the inscribed death date of 29 Mar 1872, this calculates to 31 May 1824. However, the Julian/Gregorian calendar change leaves it uncertain which calendar(s) calculation was used for the calculation.
