Biography
Arthur was born in 1867. He passed away in 1911.
- Arthur W Crosswell, who died late Sunday night, was buried yesterday afternoon, the services being held from the residence at 3:30. Gamecock Lodge, Knights of Pythias, of which he was a member, conducted the ceremonies.
Mr Crosswell was 44 years of age. He was born in Darlington county and moved to Sumter in 1891. He was head of the house of Crosswell & Co., which did a very large wholesale business.
Mr Crosswell is survived by his wife who was Miss Annie Stiles of Eastover; by his sister, Mrs M E Crawford of Dalzell, and four brothers, H D Crosswell of Columbia, W L Crosswell of Eastover, T M Crosswell of Dalzell and J K Crosswell of Sumter.
