Biography

George was born in 1843. He was the son of James Crutchfield and Harriet Gooden. He appears with his family of origin on the 1850 census[1], but not in 1860. Two of his brothers were Confederate soldiers, and he may have also been one. He is recorded in 1870, 28, with wife, two children and his mother.[2]

Research Notes

Do not confuse with George L (or W), son of Wm and Sallie! FS has him connected incorrectly.
