Caroline was born September 1829 in Upper Canada, to Issac Culbert and Elizabeth Williams. She was one of about fourteen known or candidate children. [1]
Her family settled in Mariposa Township sometime around the mid-1830s.
Caroline died November 1839, age 10, and is buried at Little Britain Bible Christian Cemetery with her father Issac (d.1849), brother Nicholas (d.1835) and brother Randal (d.1847).

Family profile in the Little Britain Centennial 1839-1939 booklet:
ISAAC CULBERT, a native of Ireland, came to Canada and procured a farm about a mile south of Little Britain, the original deed of which is still retained in the family — four generations having lived on the farm since Isaac's time — John (son), who married Catherine Hoover, David (grandson?), Mahlon (son or grandson) and Ralph (grand/greatgrandson). Isaac's son, William, with his wife, Elizabeth Shell, and a family of three children, migrated to Iowa, U.S.A., travelling with horses and covered wagon. On account of ill-health he returned later in the same way. A daughter (of William), Mrs. Mary Culbert Prosser, lives in a house built by Joseph Mark, once owned by John Adams.[4]
Note re: grave marker
this is the only source of birth and death date for this person, as it is for two other siblings and their father. The headstone was certainly installed after the latest of the deaths, which is father Issac in 1848, and possibly some time later.
I suggest the 1855 family migration to Iowa (Issac's widow and five grown children and their respective families) would be the sort of event significant enough to prioritize it's creation and probably signals enough freed capital to pay for it. Note two grown children and their families remained in Mariposa, plus one Iowa family returned, so the monument could have been erected later. One supposes a family bible was in play recording births and deaths — if such a source still exists or if these dates were transcribed one hopes that it will resurface.
