Cleve Curran was born in the Colony of Tasmania (1856-1900)

Cleve Clutha Curran, son of John Bury Curran (Wool Merchant) and Elizabeth Sarah Prosser, was born on 19 Jul 1890 at Distillery Creek, Launceston, Tasmania.

Cleve was manager of the Ayer Panas estate at Malacca, Malaya, according to The Mercury (Hobart, Tas. : 1860 - 1954) Fri 14 Nov 1941 Page 3 PERSONAL:

Mr. Cleve Curran, manager of the Ayer Panas estate at Malacca, Malaya, who has been visiting Hobart, left for Launceston yesterday, accompanied by his sister, Mrs. Alex. McGregor. A former Tasmanian, Mr. Curran has been a rubber planter for 35 years, and it is 29 years since last he visited Tasmania. He will leave for Sydney by air on Saturday.

Cleve Curran (Plantar, of Malacca) died on 24 August 1962.
