LATE MR. G. P. D'ARCY

Mr. George Pitt D'Arcy, whose death occurred suddenly at his home at Banyo yesterday, was formerly traffic director in the Railway De partment. He joined the Railway Department when he was 17 years of age and remained in the department for 50 years. He was engaged in practically every branch of the ser vice. He was transferred from the position of chief clerk to traffic director in 1923, and remained in that office until last October, when he re tired.

The late Mr. D'Arcy is survlved by a widow and three children—Mr. L. A. D'Arcy, of the Union Trustee Co., Mrs. C. N. Chambers, of Wooloowin, and Mrs. C. Edgar, of Kangaroo Point. The funeral moved from the parlour of Foley, ahd Cremin, South Brisbane, for the South Brisbane cemetery this morning. ^[7]
