Frederick was born in 1912. He was the son of Alexander Dalton and Ada Joudrey. He passed away in 1969.

War Veteran Being Buried In Pictou Today
Pictou- Frederick James (Togo) Dalton, George St., died at the Aberdeen Hospital on Friday evening in his 57th year. Born in Pictou, he was a son of Mrs. Ada (Joudrey) Dalton and the late Alexander Dalton and worked as a postal clerk in Pictou until his retirement two years ago.
During the Second World War he served overseas in the United Kingdom, continental Europe and central Mediterranean area, and was Company Sgt. Major of the Pictou Highlanders, North Nova Scotia Highlanders and West Nova Scotia Regiment, receiving the Canadian Efficiency decoration and two bars. Following his war service, he held the rank of Regimental Sgt. Major with the West Novas.
He was a member of the Pictou Fire Dept, Royal Canadian Legion, Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star Lodge, No.1, IOOF.
Surviving besides his mother are two brothers, Ernest and Johnson, both of Pictou; three sisters, Mabel (Mrs. Gerald Hogan), Halifax; Elizabeth (Mrs. Milton MacPhail), Montague, PEI, and Frances (Mrs. J.A. Dunn), Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
The remains rested at the MacLaren Funeral Home and the funeral service was held this afternoon at 2 o'clock from the St. James Anglican Church, with Rev. H.E. Langwith officiating. Interment was in the Stella Maris Roman Catholic cemetery.
