In 1900 "Bud" Daugharty was age 2 and the youngest child in the family. They were living in Clarks Fork, Kootenai, Idaho. His father Gordon Daugharty was a merchant, aged 43, b. March 1847 in Canada. He had been married 8 years. His mother Josephine was aged 32, b. March 1868 in Wisconsin, parents b. in Minnesota. She had been married 8 years with 5 children, 5 then living. His sister or half-sister Flora Proctor was age 14, b. North Dakota. His brother or half-brother Charles Proctor was b May 1887 in Minnesota, age 13. His sister Jessie Daugharty was age 7, b Nov 1892 in Idaho. His sister Fern Daugharty was age 3, b. June 1896 in Idaho.[1]
In 1910 Gordon Daugharty was living with his parents' family in Clarks Fork, Bonner, Idaho. He had two younger siblings: Mark, age 9 and Ethel L., age 7. Half-brother Charles Proctor, age 23, was living with Gordon and his parents and siblings. His father was a retail merchant.[2]
He married Ruby Wilson 24 Dec 1919 in Thompson Falls, Sanders, Montana.[3]
Gordon was married in 1920. He was age 21, living in Clark Fork, Bonner, Idaho. His wife Ruby was age 21, b. in Nebraska. They had an infant son, Gordon J. Daugharty. The head of household was his mother, Ida J. Daugharty, age 50, b. Wisconsin. Also in the household were siblings Murkison H. Daugharty, age 18 and Ethel L. Daugharty, age 16.[4]
In 1930 Gordon and Ruby were living in Sand Point, Bonner, Idaho. Gordon was a cedar inspector for a cedar mill. He was age 32, b. Idaho. Ruby T. Daugharty was age 31, married 19 yrs, b. Nebraska, father b. Indiana, mother b. Missouri. Their children were: Gordon, age 11, b Idaho; Patricia A. age 9 b Idaho; Ida R., age 8, b. Idaho; Duane A. age 4 10/12, b. Minnesota.[5]
The family was living in Libby, Lincoln, Montana in 1940.[6]
