As a young man he left the factory work for a short time to make a crop in Dry Valley, possibly on the farm known as the Bankey Farm. George (13301) met a beautiful young lady, Mary Dawson (13471), age fourteen, while working on the farm. Some years later he became more acquainted with Mary (13471) while working in the factory. Doctor George Harlan Williams (13301) and Nancy Lee Mary Dawson (13471) were married on the 24th of March 1929 at her parents' (Walter [13472] and Josie Dawson [13473]) home in Dry Valley. Mary (13471) was 26 years old and George (13301) was 56 years old at the time they were married. They began housekeeping in the first house on 9th Street across from the Company Store and moved some three years later to 216 Pine Street across the Chattooga River. .... The family moved to the house George (13301) built in 1940 at the upper end of Dry Valley, where he died on the 1st of June 1942. Doctor George Harlan (13301) and his wife are buried in the Trion Cemetery. Doctor George Harlan Williams (13301) and Nancy Lee Mary Dawson (13471) had two children:
