Pieter de Jong was born in Drachten about 1865. The son of Roel Pieters de Jong and Hettje Teyes Brandsma.
1892: Marriage - On 28 October 1892 in Smallingerland. Pieter at the age of 27 married 22 year old Grietje de Vries, born in Opeinde. The daughter of Harmen Martens de Vries and Dieke Hoekstra [1]
