Anna Maria de Keijser (1807 - 1849)

Biography

Anna Maria de Keijser was born in Dreumel where she was baptised in the Roman Catholic church on 21 April 1807 ^[1]. Her parents were Joannis de Keijser and Joanna Schram.

On 24 May 1831 Anna Maria married Hendrik Luijpen (also born in Dreumel) ^[2]. At that moment Hendrik was 24 years old and a farmer by profession, Anna Maria was 29.

Almost to the day nine months after the marriage (on 23 February 1832) their first child, daughter Gerarda Mattea, was born.

Anna Maria passed away on 23 April 1849 in Dreumel at the age of 42 ^[3]. Her death was reported to the civil registry in Dreumel the same day by her husband Hendrik Luijpen, then 48 years old. Two interesting details from the deed:

• Hendrik is explicitly referred to as "Hendrik Luijpen Mzoon", i.e. as "Matthijs' son". Apparently there were more "Luijpen" with the first name "Hendrik" and it was necessary to distinguish him from them.
• Anna Maria is referred to as "Maria". Apparently that was her "Preferred Name".
