Willem de Wijs (1822 - 1888)

Biography

Willem was first married to Christina Elizabeth Lenselink at Heerewaarden in 1852. ^[2] Children of this union include:

2. Antje Hendrika (b. 1854; m. 1881, Gijsbert Jan Ton; d. 1886)
3. Grada (b. 1856)
4. Arnoldus (b. 1857)
5. Gradus (b. 1858)
6. Jannigje Cecilia (b. 1859)
7. Carolina (b. 1862; d. 1862)
8. Gerritje (b. 1862; d. 1862)
9. Gerrit (b. 1862; d. 1864)
10. Gerritje (b. 1864; d. 1865)
11. Johanna Hendrika Elisabeth (b. 1866; d. 1866)

Wife, Christina died a few days after the birth of her last child. Willem was next married in 1866 to Tryntje Smit widow of Klaas Ploeger de Groot. ^[3] No children are known to this union.

In 1875 Willem was married a third time to Allegonda van de Pol, widow of Jan Cornelis Mijdam. ^[4] No children are known to this couple.

WIllem died in 1888. ^[5]
