Oliver Dease, Vicar-General of the Diocese of Meath was the eldest son of Lawrence Dease (and grandson of Richard Dease and Elizabeth Nugent), and nephew of Thomas Dease, Bishop of Meath. He had four younger brothers: Richard, Garrett, Watt, and Laurence. (He and all of his brothers were mentioned in the will of his uncle, the Bishop.)[1]
