Research Notes

Direct, primary sources for Margaret's date and place of birth have not yet been found, nor have those proving her parentage. However, secondary sources may be available that speak to her date of birth and/or parentage.
2. Marriage and Children

No marriage record found yet
3. Census and Other Records
Immigration: Peter and Margaretha's son John's death record gave his age at death on 22 April 1926 as 80 years, 9 months, 25 days, and said had been a resident of the US for 74 years, 6 months. That puts John's age at immigration, circa late 1851, as 6 years 3 months. As it would have been quite uncommon for such a young child to make that journey alone, it is highly probable that the family immigrated together. Or, as was not uncommon, the mother and childr(en) immigrated together, to join up with the father who preceded them.
4. Death and Burial
Direct, primary sources for Margaret's date and place of death have not yet been found. However, secondary sources may be available that speak to her death.
