Biography

His oldest child was Albina Demers. She was a good singer in Montréal. But she was a wild one. She dated many men. She married mister Larivière, a renown pianist who was working for the C.P. Railway. He too was excentric. He was into drugs. He wanted to kill his wife Albina and commit suicide while he was high on drugs. He died young. That couple had a son, Roger Larivière who sang very well and performed in Montréal at the Capitol Theater. His voice was beautiful as a child, afterwards not. His parents sent him 2 years in Europe to learn music and singing etc. He WROTE operettas. He worked for Radio Canada. He was a fine singing teacher in Montréal where he taught well-known Québec singers like Ginette Reno. Roger remained single. We think he was gay. He loved his 2 dogs and had them stuffed and sitting on his couch. He even wanted them to be placed in his casket when he died but people refused to do so. Albina remarried Mr. Bernier but she had no other children. Mr. Bernier worked for les douanes in Montréal. He was a great guy, calm. He adored Albina. He died of hypertrophy of the prostate. Albina was a nymphomaniac going out with very many men.

Before marrying Germaine, Maurice Bédard dated her older sister Albina. (and while he was dating Albina he already brought a first-communion gift to Germaine. Does the age difference between Maurice and Germaine make this possible ?) Even after marrying Germaine, Maurice still had a soft spot in his heart for Albina.

Elle était déjà veuve d'Aimé Larivière quand elle a épousé Arthur Bernier (veuf) en 1929.
