Arthur DeCourcy McGillicuddy Denny was born on 10 Jan 1899 in East Barkwith, Lincolnshire, England^[1][2]. His parents were Edmund Barry Denny and Emily Jane Peta Barclay Allen.

Arthur married Marie Cecilia Brooke (1901 - 1986), daughter of Herbert Brook, 25 Aug 1924 in West Derby, Lancashire^[3][4]. The couple had a child, Maynard de Courcy Barry Denny (1927 -1993)^[5]

Arthur later married Mary Evelyn Money (1904 - 1966) on 27 Mar 1937 in Qualicum Beach, British Columbia, Canada^[6].

Arthur died on 19 Sep 1971 in Victoria, British Columbia aged 72^[7].
