James Dexter, son of Charles James Dexter and Clara Ellen Abel, ^[1] was born in about November 1904 in Bethnal Green, Middlesex. ^[1][2]

On 2 April 1911 in Walthamstow, Essex, with his parents Charles James Dexter and Clara Ellen Dexter and his siblings Charles James Abel Dexter aged 12, William Dexter aged 10, Emma Grace Dexter aged 7 and Elsie May Dexter aged 4. ^[1]
