Elizabeth Mary DIXON was Born about 1825 at Chester-le-Street, Durham, England, United Kingdom.^[1]. Her parents were Nicholas Dixon and Elizabeth Liddle.

Edward BARRASS and Elizabeth Mary DIXON were married on 11 Mar 1843 in Shincliffe, Durham, England^[2][3]

1851, 25 year old, Elizabeth BARRASS was living in Durham, England with her husband, Edward (27, Coal Miner) and their 3 sons, Andrew (6), Nicholas (5) and Thomas (1)^[4]

The steam clipper ship, Royal Charter set sail from Liverpool, England on 22 May 1859 with 6 members of the BARRASS family (listed as BARAS) among the passengers and arrived in Hobson's Bay, Colony of Victoria on 22 July 1859. The family consisted of mother, Elizabeth (aged 30) and 5 sons, Andrew (11), Nicholas (10), Thomas (8), George (6) and John (4)^[5][6]. They joined husband/father, Edward who had preceded them (possibly aboard the ship, Saldanha in 1856).

She passed away on 28 Mar 1893 in Chiltern, Victoria, Australia^[7] and was buried at the Chiltern Cemetery, Chiltern, Indigo Shire, Victoria, Australia^[8][9]
