Biography
Maria Dixon was born about 1836 in Yorkshire, England. She married John Fletcher on 29 December 1851 in Yorkshire, England. After her marriage at the end of 1851, John and Maria had their first child, Mary. By 1880 the Electoral Register shows John as the owner of a freehold house and shop in Lowertown. So they probably moved to Scarborough in 1880.
