David was born April 10, 1866/1867 at Hopewell Cape, New Brunswick. He was a son of James Dixon and Ellen (Crandall) Dixon, farmers in nearby Amherst, Nova Scotia.[1][2]
By 1871, the family was living in Amherst, Nova Scotia.
He married Mary E. Mason on August 12, 1896 in Rawdon, Nova Scotia. Born in Rawdon, she was a daughter of Wesley and Clarissa Mason. At the time, David was living in Amherst, Nova Scotia and was cited as a farmer.[2]
David was a Clergyman with the United Baptist Church.[1]
David passed away on March 19, 1934 in Saint John, New Brunswick and was interred at the Baptist Cemetery in Saint Martin's.[1]
