Albert Eugene Dobbs was born on 2 May 1874, in Hamilton, Tennessee, United States as the son of Hillman Dobbs and Nellie F. Smith. He married Catherine Blanch Gray on 3 September 1896, in Hamilton, Tennessee, United States. They were the parents of at least 6 sons and 1 daughter. He lived in Civil District 4, Hamilton, Tennessee, United States in 1910 and Civil District 2, Hamilton, Tennessee, United States in 1920. He died on 19 April 1921, in Alton Park, Hamilton, Tennessee, United States, at the age of 46.
