Wilma Dobbs, Aunt Wilma, was a member of Glad Tidings Chuch. She was a caregiver to everyone in her family and especially loved children. Aunt Wilma was also a grandmother to all those around her and was wonderful at singing and rocking babies to sleep. She was preceded in death by her parents Samuel and Dollie nee Lawson Dobbs, brothers Raymond Dobbs, Toman Dobbs, and William Counts and sisters, Mauddie Kirkpatrick, Geraldine Swaringiam, and Opal Brawley. Surviving are nieces and nephews, Joyce Webb Haas and Oliver Haas of Swansea, Ill. Barbara and Joe Stark of Craig Colo., Lonnie Kirkpatrick of Fort Meyers Fla., Raymond Ronnie and Milford Swaringiam, Shirley Griflen, Marilyn Humphey, and Wilma Kay all of Missouri, great-nieces and nephews Michelle and Chris Etter of Freeburg Ill., Terry and Jeannie Webb of Belleville Ill., and Scott Raymond and Leanne Kirkpatrick all of Missouri and great-great-nieces and nephews Christina Webb of Swansea Ill., Brooke Mason and Morgan Webb all of Belleville Ill., and Brother-in-law Milford E Kirkpatrick of Williamsville Mo. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Monday Oct 28 1996 at Lake View Funeral Home-Glock Chapel Fairview Heights Ill., with the Rev Mike Van Britson officiating. Burial will be in Reagans Chapel Cemetery in Patton Mo. Friends may call from 2 to 9 pm Sunday Oct 27 1996 at Lake View Funeral Home which is located on the grounds of Lake View Memorial Gardens in Fair-view Heights Ill. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Swansea Care Center Satellite Fund Glad Tidings Church or Hospice of Southern Illinois. The family would like to thank Hospice of Southern Illinois and Swansea Care Center and staff for the great care given to Aunt Wilma during her illness. All the pain and grief is over. Every restless tossing passed Aunt Wilma’s now at peace forever Safely home in heaven at last.
