Biography
David was born on 10 September 1778 at Lancaster, Lancashire. His birth was recorded by Lancaster Quaker Monthly Meeting, with his parents named as David and Esther.[1]
On 29 August 1805 he married Abigail Benson, daughter of Robert Benson of Liverpool (merchant, deceased) and his wife Sarah (surviving). David is described in the marriage record of Hardshaw Quaker Monthly Meeting as a cotton manufacturer of Manchester, Lancashire.[2]
David's death was registered in the West Derby district of Lancashire in the 4th quarter of 1853.[3] He died on 24 November 1853 and was buried on 28 November at the Quaker burial ground at Hunter Street, Liverpool.[4]
