May family files have a John M. Dodge and Hannah Veazel as the parents of Thomas. This seems to be an error in the reading of a record and then copied without checking sources. Hannah Veazel married John M. Dodds.
Thomas Kingsley Dodge was born on December 22, 1834, in Milan, Dutchess, New York, USA.
Thomas married Frances Agnes McConnell on 1 Feb. 1856 in Hancock County, Ohio.[1]
He was a school teacher when he and Frances appeared on the census of 30 June 1860 at Pleasant Township, Knox County, Ohio.[2] He enlisted in Co. C 128th Regiment, Ohio Infantry in the United States Civil War on 6 June 1862, he was mustered out on 5 June 1865.[3] He was a house carpenter when he and Frances appeared on the census of 9 June 1870 at Remington, Jasper County, Indiana.[4]
Thomas passed away on July 25, 1874 in Shelby, Lake, Indiana and was buried at Montmorenci Cemetery, Montmorenci, Indiana. A headstone was provided as a Union Civil War Vereran.[5] His memorial has photos and links to those of family members.[6]
