LATHAM— DORWARD. On September 28th, at Coopernook Methodist Church, a quiet marriage ceremony was solemnised by Rev. J. W. McCredie, the contracting parties being Mr. Leon Latham, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Eli Latham, of Coopernook, and Miss Isabel Dorward, only daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. John Dorward of Harrington. The bride, who was gowned in white georgette with pearl trimmings, and wearing the usual wreath and veil, and carrying a beautiful armlet of pale pink sweet peas and pink tulle streamers, was given away by her uncle (Mr. David Dorward). Mrs. Churchward (sister of the bridegroom) was matron of honor. Her dress was shrimp pink crepe dechene and her bouquet was of pink and white gerberas and carnations with pink tulle streamers. Both bouquets were made by Mrs. T. Hawkins, of Harrington. Mr. Alfred Latham, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. After the ceremony was performed the party adjourned to "Serelle," where the reception was held. The happy couple motored to Grafton, where the honeymoon was spent, the bride travelling in a blue ensemble. Their future home will be "Serelle," Coopernook. |
