HUNDRED ATTEND WIGHTMAN RITES

FALLON, April 18. (Special). Friends from every section of Nevada came to Fallon yesterday to attend the Funeral for the late Mrs. Emma Downs Wight man, wife of Fred M. Wightman of this city. From Fallon came a number of friends who had known Mrs Wightman in her childhood, others coming from the Reese river section and points east of there. Mrs. Wightman died in San Francisco last Tuesday following an operation. She had been in poor health for several years. She came to Nevada as an infant from her birthplace at Williamstown, Mo., first settlind with her parents at Lovelock, whew she grew to womanhood, and where she and Mr. Wightman became engaged, their marriage taking place on the high seas outside San Francisco harbor.

The services were held at the Baptist church, and floral tributes were almost as profuse as was the attendance of her many friends. Her daughter and two sons, her husband, her mother and father and three brothers survive. Published in the Reno Gazette-Journal, 18 Apr 1925, Sat, Page 7
