Anna Maria was born about 1811 [1]. She married Antonino Abbate [2], a farmer, and they had several children. The other husband, Giuseppe Abbate, may belong to a different Anna Maria, or may be Antonino Abbate with an error in his name.
Anna Maria was still living as of 7 February 1868 [3].
There are some indications that husband Giuseppe Abbate should be named Antonino. (1) There is no marriage record for Giuseppe and Anna Maria Drago. There is, however, one for Anna Maria and Antonino Abbate. (2) The Anna Maria married to Giuseppe is the same age as the Anna Maria married to Antonino (born 1811-12). (3) The son of Anna Maria and Giuseppe, Francesco, has the same given name as the father of the Anna Maria Drago married to Antonino. (4) No other children have been found who have Anna Maria and Giuseppe as the parents.
The fact that the name Giuseppe appears in both Francesco's birth and marriage records lends it some credence. But it is equally likely that an error in the birth record, presented at the time of the marriage, was copied over into Francesco's marriage record. Francesco's birth was reported by the midwife, not by the father. Awaiting more research.
Potential merge with Antonino Abbate.
