S/N 69. Private Hubert Howden DRAKE-BROCKMAN, a 19 year old Farmer from Beverley, Western Australia. He enlisted on 4/11/1914. His records are under the surname Brockman.
He was Killed in Action 7/8/1915 on Walkers Ridge while fighting in the Battle of The Neck with the Australian 10th Light Horse.
He was a member of A Squadron. They were in the third line of attack immediately behind the 8th Light Horse and the last full line to make the charge.
His name was included in the list of 37 men from the 10th Light Horse who's bodied were not recovered and a military inquiry on 9/8/1915 determined that they were all to be declared Killed in Action.
In July 2006 his medals were being held by his nephew George W Ridgway.
