Biography

He was the son of William Thomas Drennon and his wife Isabel Marianne Welch. He was not listed with his family on the 1850 census taken on 21 Sep 1850 which is evidence that he was not born until Nov 1850, not Nov 1849 as some people think.

He first married Anie "Addie" Wilson in 1873 in Macon County, NC. After his wife died in 1900, he moved back to Macon Co. There he married Harriet Adeline "Addie" Fouts Ray on 18 Oct 1906. He resided in Macon County for several decades, but he died in Gilmer County, GA.

His surname was sometimes spelled Drenon or Drinon.
