Biography
John Leslie Driscoll was born on May 30, 1892 in East Boston, Massachusetts to Florence and Julia Burke Driscoll. He was one of eight known children born to the couple.
John was raised in Boston, Massachusetts. His mother died when he was young. When he was still in his teens, he worked as an entry clerk for a shoe factory.
On December 10, 1911 John married Margaret O'Donnell in Boston, Massachusetts. The couple raised their nine known children within the city before moving to Winthrop, Massachusetts after 1940 but before 1942.
John worked as a shipper for the electric company, a checker for a department store, and in the receiving department for the A.G. Walton Shoe Company.
John passed away on August 20, 1961 (likely in either Boston or Winthrop, Massachusetts). He was 68 years old. He is buried in a family plot with his wife and two of his sons in Winthrop Cemetery in Winthrop, Massachusetts.
