• Kennard Ray 'Ken' Duren, 70, passed away Sept. 22, 2001 in Dallas, TX. Funeral service is at 10:00 AM Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2001 at Ridgecrest Baptist Church with Rev. Eddie Smith officiating.Under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home, Greenville, TX. Burial will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Resthaven Memory Gardens in OKC. Ken was born September 24, 1930 in Gracemont, OK to Claude and Ellen Akin Duren. He married Eloise Ann McCarty on Nov. 6, 1950. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, Airborne Rangers and retired as Deputy Commander of the Defense Contract Administration Office at E Systems. He was a member of Capitol Hill Baptist Church, OKC. He was also a Mason, 'The Morning Coffee Group at the Royal', long-time member of Webb Hill Country Club - Club Champion 1975, 1977, 1982 at Webb Hill, and a former member of Planning & Zoning Committee. He is survived by wife, Eloise Ann Duren; son, James Arnold Duren; daughters, Janet Rae Minas and Jean Ann Grant; brothers, Donald Duren, Johnny Duren, and Quenton Duren; sisters, Dean Freie, Pat Fredrick, Modene Fitzpatrick, Donna Frymire; grandchildren, Aaron Minas, Erica Ann Minas, Dillon Ray Duren, Benjamin Grant, Brooke Nicole Duren and beloved dog, Winston. He was preceded in death by his father, Claude Duren; mother, Ellen Akin; brother, Bobby Duren.
