Biography
John Emmett Early was the son of Estelle Wilhoit and William David Early. He graduated from the University of Virginia Medical School in 1893. In 1899 he married Harriet Powell Strother. They had three children, only one of which lived to maturity. He practiced medicine in Charlottesville, Virginia for 40 years.
