Thelma (Eberhart) Chaffee was born on 22 Sep 1902 in Maquoketa, Jackson, Iowa, United States.[1]

In the 1920 census Thelma (age 17) was the single niece of George L Tompkins in Clinton Ward 3, Clinton, Iowa.[3]
In the 1930 census Thelma (age 27) was the wife of James L Chafee in Granville, Chicago, Cook, Illinois, United States.[4]
In the 1940 census Thelma (age 37) was the wife of James Shaffer in Chicago, Cook, Illinois.[5]
In the 1950 census Thelma (age 47) was the wife of Jack H Mahmens in Clinton, Clinton, Iowa, United States.[6]
Thelma died on 17 Sep 1976 in De Witt, Clinton, Iowa aged 73.[7][8]
